Dates: Tue 1 August – National Music Educators Forum

Wed 2 & Thu 3 August – Contemporary Music Roundtable Conference

Venue:  Customs House, Circular Quay Sydney

Program: The Roundtable provides the national forum for contemporary music policy and industry development. Sector professionals gather, deliberate, and set action agendas for contemporary music growth.

  • Keynote speakers & panellists: music leaders, artists, executives, and government representatives
  • Delegates from industry peak bodies, commercial companies, policy makers, researchers and musicians
  • Advocates for contemporary music and its cultural and economic value, and agendas for growth
  • Informal networking with senior national music industry identities

Topics include: live and recorded music, export and domestic market growth, artist and business development, music skills and education and public engagement.

Educators Forum: The second National Music Educators forum returns on 1 August.  A full day side-conference for vocational and tertiary contemporary music educators. Convenor: Ben O’Hara, Dean of Collarts Melbourne.
