Music Victoria have announced the return of the Live Music Professionals program for 2020. Designed to strengthen and support Victorian live music businesses, the free professional development program is open to application from venue owners and managers, band bookers and independent promoters.

Flinders Quartet 2020 Composer Development Program
Applications close 29 May

Flinders Quartet invite emerging composers to submit a short work (up to 8 mins) for string quartet. Up to six composers will be invited to workshop their compositions with FQ and this year’s composition mentor, Katy Abbott, resulting in a professional recording and performances in Melbourne and Sydney in August.

Rural Assistance Authority – Natural Disaster Grants
Grants of up to $15,000 may be provided to eligible arts/cultural small businesses and non-profit organisations to contribute towards the costs of clean-up and removal of debris, including hire of equipment, restoration  and replacement of damaged assets and stock including safety inspections, essential repairs, purchase, hire or lease or equipment and stock essential to the immediate resumption of trading; relocation to and leasing of, temporary premises when immediate re-opening and more.
