For over twenty years, Ruth Hazleton has been active in the independent, folk and traditional sectors of the Australian music industry; as a multi award-winning singer and instrumentalist (touring nationally and internationally), as an agent for international touring artists and in event management. She is also an arts advocate and activist. In late 2016, Ruth initiated the #saveRNmusic campaign to protest cuts to ABC Radio National music programming. A folklorist by trade, Ruth is also a blogger and currently works for The National Library of Australia.
