Australian Music Festivals Recognised In Tourism Awards

Four Australian music festivals received awards at the 2014 Australian Tourism Awards, held in Adelaide on Friday, 10 April.

In the ‘Major Festivals and Events’ category, Woodford Folk Festival 2013-14, held in Queensland, won the gold medal, while The Falls Music and Arts Festival, held in Tasmania, took home silver. Meanwhile, in the ‘Festival and Events’ section, the 2014 National Folk Festival, held in the ACT, was awarded bronze.

Furthermore, The Falls Music and Arts Festival was recognised for its eco-friendliness, winning a silver medal in the ‘QANTAS Award for Excellence in Sustainable Tourism’.
