Submission to the New South Wales Government Review of the Small Bars Legislation

Advocacy Resources, Policy Submissions

July 19, 2016

Music Australia has made a submission into the review of legislation governing small bars in NSW. These licenses have been a welcome policy development, significantly reducing cost and regulatory burdens for small bar operators. However changes are needed to make them conducive to presenting live music, principally by increasing the capacity limit from the current 60 persons.

We are grateful to ClarkeKann Lawyers for generously donating their services and expertise to contribute to this Review.
