Blacktown City Council Creative Arts Fund

Applications are now open for Blacktown City Council Creative Arts Fund. A total of $40,000 worth of grants will be awarded to local individuals and organisations.

Arts and Cultural Infrastructure Grants
Applications close 10 March
The Arts and Cultural Infrastructure grants funding round is now open. The focus of the 2017 round is on the development and enhancement of arts and cultural facilities. Liquor & Gaming NSW is inviting applications for projects that support communities across NSW to increase participation in arts and culture and drive cultural tourism. Projects with a particular focus on disadvantaged and regional and remote communities will be highly regarded.

Cross-Pollination, An Audience Development Initiative
EOI’s Close 13 March
The Australia Council for the Arts is inviting expressions of interest to participate in Cross-Pollination, a two week audience development skills exchange. This program will give participants an opportunity to see how other organisations and art forms work to attract and retain audiences in situ.

Regional Arts Victoria Community Grants
Applications close 14 March
Round 1 of the 2017 Regional Arts Fund will open on Monday 9 January and will close on Tuesday 14 March. Community Grants are available in the following categories:

  • Cultural Projects & Skills Development (Up to $15,000)
  • Toe in the Water (Up to $6,000 for first time applicants)

Australia House Japan Residency
Applications close 15 March
Australia House is calling for participants for the Residency Program 2017. Australia House was opened at the 5th Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale in 2012. This  visual artists, performance artists, writers, researchers, art educators and people of all art forms are encouraged to apply.

The Community Broadcasting Foundation Development & Operations Grants

The Community Broadcasting Foundation Development and Operations grants aim to maintain, expand and/or strengthen the operations and broadcast capabilities of Australian community broadcasting stations through core support, support for development projects and support for necessary infrastructure.

Hilltop Hoods Initiative
Applications close 21 March
Emerging Australian hip hop and soul artists are invited to apply for the 2017 Hilltop Hoods Initiative to help further their careers. Offering a grant of $10,000 to cover costs associated with manufacturing, promoting and distributing an album or EP, the Initiative is open to APRA AMCOS members who have not yet released a commercial album on an industry recognised label.

Department of Culture and the Arts Grants WA

Applications are open for the Community Engagement Grants Program, 15k-plus category. Grants are available to emerging and established artists, creative industry professionals, arts and cultural workers, community groups, businesses and organisations to undertake a range of activities that have a clearly defined arts or cultural outcome.

City of Port Phillip Cultural Development Fund

The Cultural Development Fund aims to assist and encourage artists and related organisations to develop and realise creative projects.

City of Stonnington Arts and Cultural Grant Program

The City of Stonnington’s Arts and Cultural Grants Program supports local organisations and art based initiatives wishing to present quality, innovative Stonnington-based activities which enhance the cultural, community and economic development of the City, including festivals and events.

City of Melbourne Triennial Arts Grants 2018-20
Applications close 26 March
Applications for City of Melbourne’s Triennial Arts Grants 2018-2020 are now open. The program supports a diverse mix of arts and cultural organisations, art forms, and contemporary and heritage practices. Small, medium and large arts organisations are encouraged to apply.

Yirramboi Delegation, Australia Council for the Arts
Applications close 28 March
The Australia Council for the Arts is offering presenters and programmers an opportunity to join a delegation to the 2017 YIRRAMBOI First Nations Arts Festival. The delegation will spend the final four nights of the festival immersing themselves in First Nations arts and culture. Delegates will have the opportunity to see and discuss work with colleagues, network and develop curatorial capacity in First Nations arts.

The Catalyst Community Arts Fund

The Catalyst Community Arts Fund supports community-driven arts and culture activities that express local culture and identity and promote the values of community empowerment, social inclusion, respect for diversity and self-determination.

Josh Pyke Partnership

Josh Pyke is partnering with APRA AMCOS to award one lucky Australian musician with a $7,500 grant to help kick-start their musical career.

Country Arts WA – Regional Arts Legacy Grants

The Regional Arts Legacy Grants enables Western Australian regional communities, organisations or individuals to secure funding that will stimulate and support arts activity in all art forms in all nine regions of Western Australia for one to three years.

ArtPlay New Ideas Lab

ArtPlay New Ideas Lab provides the opportunity for artists to propose new projects to undertake at ArtPlay as part of our ongoing creative program for children and families.  ArtPlay New Ideas Lab supports proposals between $5000 to $20,000 (artists’ fee together with consumable materials and specialist equipment).

Australia-China Council (ACC) 2017/18 Grants

Through this grant program, the Australia-China Council supports projects across China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and Australia that broaden and strengthen Australia-China relations in education, business, culture and the arts.

State Library Victoria 2017 Fellowships Program
Applications close 23 April
The State Library and its partners are offering 15 fellowships, collectively worth up to $237,000. Among these are specialist fellowships in children’s literature, digital media, visual arts, contemporary art, social history, World War I history and Ukrainian studies.

PPCA – Australia Council Partnership

Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund

The Cultural Fund is the philanthropic arm of the Copyright Agency. It provides grants to organisations for projects that enrich Australian writing, publishing and the visual arts.

The Cliff Goodchild OAM Scholarship for Professional Music Education

This scholarship provides funding to those wishing to engage with professional music mentors (conductors, brass, woodwind and percussion) alongside a School Band Director within their school context for 12 months.

Government of Western Australia – Regional Touring Boost
Ongoing
The program aims to increase the number and diversity of professional small to medium arts shows touring regional communities in Western Australia for the next three years. Music shows can apply.

RADF Gold Coast
If you’re a local Gold Coast artist, creative business or organisation, grants are available to bring your big ideas to life through the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF). In 2016-17, RADF is comprised of three programs – GERMINATE, ACTIVATE and GENERATE.

The Ace & Tate Creative Fund
Ongoing
The Ace & Tate Creative Fund grants funding to emerging artists in order to bring brilliant ideas to life. It supports individuals or collectives working anywhere, in any medium, who take creative risks to break new ground.

Arts Queensland – Queensland Arts Showcase Program
Applications accepted anytime
Provides funding to support individuals, organisations or collectives to deliver vibrant and accessible arts and cultural experiences for Queensland. The funding is administered across three streams:

1. Arts Ignite – funding of up to $60 000 for new works.
2. Arts Illuminate – up to $100 000 to secure acclaimed artists that will engage the community and build local capacity.
3. Arts Impact – up to $60 000 for diverse arts and cultural experiences for Queensland.

Performers’ Trust Foundation
The PPCA Performers’ Trust Foundation provides grants to promote and encourage music and the performing arts. The grants provided are non-recurring and can be used to cover tuition fees, travel costs, accommodation and venue hire/ PA hire.

Aboriginal Quick Response Grants
Applications Ongoing
Funding is available to assist Aboriginal artists, organisations and partnerships explore market development opportunities in the creative industries by attending trade fairs and export markets.
