City of Sydney Accommodation Grants
Applications close 24 July
Provides City-owned facilities and spaces to community groups, services and organisations at no charge or at reduced rates. A space is available for cultural organisations.

Country Arts Support Program (CASP)
Applications close 27 July
CASP is an annual small grants program administered by Regional Arts NSW (RANSW) on behalf of CreateNSW. This funding supports workshops, events and arts activities taking place across Regional NSW.

Creative Fellowships

The National Library offers three Fellowships to support practising writers and artists to develop new work creatively using or inspired by the Library’s collections.

National Folk Fellowship

The annual National Folk Fellowship is offered jointly by the National Library of Australia and the National Folk Festival. The Fellowship is open for folk musicians, singers, dancers, poets, performance artists, collector-performers.

Australian-American Fulbright Commission Scholarships

The Australian-American Fulbright Commission offers Scholarships to Australian citizens across all career stages. Awardees take part in a bi-lateral academic and cultural exchange, pursuing research or study at a U.S. institution, experiencing life in the United States of America, and bringing back their knowledge and experience to share with their communities in Australia.

Creative Victoria, Music Works – Major Funding Rounds

The Music Works Grants program invests in the development and support of Victoria’s contemporary music artists and music industries. It provides support for projects and programs that will develop and bring dynamism to Victoria’s contemporary music sector, increase employment and build cultural capital.

MusicNSW Opportunity Development Grants

This program is aimed at supporting musicians and artist managers in developing opportunities whilst attending Australian industry conferences, domestic tours, trade fairs and other career defining opportunities in 2017.

Peter Sculthorpe Music Fellowship

Applications from emerging musicians and composers from NSW are open for the second biennial Peter Sculthorpe Music Fellowship, in honour of the internationally renowned composer. The $30,000 fellowship is offered every second year by Create NSW and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, in partnership with representatives of the Peter Sculthorpe Trust.

Stronger Communities Grants Program, Inner West Council

Regional Arts Fund (RAF) Community Grants

The Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund supports sustainable cultural development in regional and remote Australia and meets the strategic priorities of supporting participation in, and access to, the arts and encouraging greater private sector support for the arts. The Regional Arts Fund is designed to benefit regional and remote arts practitioners, arts workers, audiences and communities.

Plus1 – Creative Partnerships Australia

Plus1 is Creative Partnerships Australia’s dollar-for-dollar matched fundraising program, designed to boost the fundraising efforts of small to medium not-for-profit arts organisations.

Natalie Miller Fellowship 2017
Applications close 17 August
The Natalie Miller Fellowship awards an annual grant of up to $20,000 to a woman who has demonstrated initiative, entrepreneurship and excellence working in the Australian screen industries and who has a personal professional development proposal that would assist her to reach her full potential in any field of the screen industry.

Create NSW, Regional Partnerships

This funding supports strategic partnerships across and beyond the arts and cultural sectors, including those with local government authorities or other public, private or community organisations.

Regional Centre for Culture 2018 Local Grants Program

The Regional Centre for Culture 2018 Local Grants program is a one-off grant round to fund local creative projects which will take place in the designated Regional Centre for Culture area in 2018.  It provides a unique opportunity for Creative Victoria to support local practitioners, groups and organisations to extend their practice, profile their work and meet their creative aspirations.

MusicNSW and Create NSW have announced a new pilot initiative for touring in regional NSW.

Dreamfarm Eco-Arts Village Residency
Applications close 1 September
A self-directed program, the Dreamfarm Creative Residency is a time for research, experimentation, development, growth and the production of new work. The Residency Program is open to emerging and established practitioners, both Australian and international, working with any creative medium or project. This program is also suitable for collaborative group residencies.

Regional Cultural Fund

The Regional Cultural Fund has been established by the NSW Government to ensure regional NSW receives its fair share of arts and cultural infrastructure and the associated recreational and educational benefits.

Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund
Applications close 7 September
The Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund provides financial assistance to Australian artists registering their work in the Adelaide Fringe.

Creators Fund
Applications close 7 September
The program will provide grants of between $20,000 – $50,000 to support individuals or creative collectives working in the arts, design, contemporary music, game development, screen or fashion sectors, to work intensively for a period of between three to six months.

Community Presenter Touring Grant
Applications close 25 September
Extends the reach of professional productions to smaller towns and remote communities in NSW that do not have a professional performing arts venue.

The Ian Potter Cultural Trust

The Cultural Trust offers grants up to $7,000 to assist emerging and early career artists of exceptional talent to take up professional development opportunities, usually overseas.

Young People and the Arts Quick Response

$3000 is now available to assist young artists, arts workers or organisations in Western Australia.

Regional Partnerships

This program provides Victorian regional communities access to a wide variety of quality arts experiences through supporting performing arts centres. It is invite only.

Arts Business Innovation Fund
A fund created by the Queensland Government to provide a $1 million investment  to not-for-profit arts and cultural organisations.

Belconnen Arts Centre Artist in Residence Program
Belconnen Arts Centre is developing its seasonal Artists in Residence program and is offering assistance to local artists, writers, performers, new media collaborators and other creative professionals looking to use studio, performance and exhibition space for development and presentation of new work.

Victoria Law Foundation Grants
Victoria Law Foundation is now offering grants funding to arts sector organisations.

Government of Western Australia – Regional Touring Boost
The program aims to increase the number and diversity of professional small to medium arts shows touring regional communities in Western Australia for the next three years. Music shows can apply.

RADF Gold Coast
If you’re a local Gold Coast artist, creative business or organisation, grants are available to bring your big ideas to life through the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF). In 2016-17, RADF is comprised of three programs – GERMINATE, ACTIVATE and GENERATE.

The Ace & Tate Creative Fund
The Ace & Tate Creative Fund grants funding to emerging artists in order to bring brilliant ideas to life. It supports individuals or collectives working anywhere, in any medium, who take creative risks to break new ground.

Arts Queensland – Queensland Arts Showcase Program
Applications accepted anytime
Provides funding to support individuals, organisations or collectives to deliver vibrant and accessible arts and cultural experiences for Queensland. The funding is administered across three streams:

1. Arts Ignite – funding of up to $60 000 for new works.
2. Arts Illuminate – up to $100 000 to secure acclaimed artists that will engage the community and build local capacity.
3. Arts Impact – up to $60 000 for diverse arts and cultural experiences for Queensland.

Performers’ Trust Foundation
The PPCA Performers’ Trust Foundation provides grants to promote and encourage music and the performing arts. The grants provided are non-recurring and can be used to cover tuition fees, travel costs, accommodation and venue hire/ PA hire.

Aboriginal Quick Response Grants
Applications Ongoing
Funding is available to assist Aboriginal artists, organisations and partnerships explore market development opportunities in the creative industries by attending trade fairs and export markets.

Artists in the House
Applications open in February
A new funding initiative to support the engagement of professional performing artists and arts workers for residencies at WA regional performing arts venues and entertainment centres.
